Helping me stomach all that flavor! By Guest Blogger Jim Morris
Yogi Bear’s Holy Grail was a picnic basket. Wimpy loves a good burger. Heck, even svelte Fraulein Maria craves schnitzel with noodles.
Some of my favorite things would include sweet, tangy and calorific Beijing Beef, fall of the bone Baby Back Ribs and mountainous serving of Onion Tanglers. Unfortunately, these meals usually leave me with a side dish of an unbalanced and unhappy digestion system.
In fact, I would say DiGize would probably be my desert island essential oil – especially if I could eat my desert island foods (see above).
Related to this topic is overall digestion system balance. As I’ve entered my 50s, my body frankly just doesn’t process meals as smoothly as a decade ago. One helpful addition has been my Christmas present – a sturdy 22 ounce water bottle that I take with me wherever I go.
Since it’s a glass bottle, I can add Therapeutic Grade essential oils. Essential oils are well known for breaking down petrochemicals and while that is great for your body as it will flush those toxins out, it’s bad for plastic water bottles and will leach petrochemicals right from the water bottle. You don’t want to add more of these toxins to your body so stick to glass or stainless steel water bottles when adding essential oils! Learn more about how petrochemicals harm our health HERE.
Four or five drops of Young Living Lemon Essential oil in my glass bottle makes water a joy to drink instead of a chore. This helps me get the amount of water I need to assist my body in its daily processes so that it can work like a well oiled engine. I have noticed a huge improvement when it comes to keeping my body moving the way it should.
Eating a healthy balanced diet is really important, but when you indulge, and I think you should at times, keep your bottle of DiGize Essential oil nearby!
