As I get older and find more things to worry about, I’ve increased my openness to steps to boost my sleep. After all, a good night’s rest truly is a foundational part of surviving this chaotic life!
If your mind races like mine, one of the keys to more Zzz’s is getting your synapses in a half-nelson, so you aren’t trying to solve the world’s problems at 2 a.m. Two of Young Living’s over 260 essential oils and essential oil blends are now essential evening wear for me: White Angelica and Cedarwood.
White Angelica calms and soothes. Any negative thoughts seem to fade away.
Cedarwood is a manly smell. When I put a dab on my neck, I feel like I should find overalls and wrestle a Grizzly Bear. Its woodsy scent makes me want to fell large trees. Despite helping me feel Bunyanesque (Paul, not John), its manly smell is pleasant and actually very relaxing.
I have evolved a long way in using these oils as part of my nighttime routine. I have gone from “Aw do I have to?” to “these are essential steps” in my quest to become more like a Koala Bear.
